In our society today, there is so much information floating around, that it’s hard to know what to do or believe. It has taken me years of learning on my own health journey to figure things out. In my opinion, one of the biggest things to know, is that what works for one, does not work for another. We are each bio-individual, meaning each of us is unique and different. This means that to be healthy each person’s journey will look a little different. Some people can eat certain foods that are deemed healthy, but others cannot due to sensitivities. In other words, “one person’s food is another person’s poison.”
There are key areas that need looked at with each individual. Those areas are nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, how much exercise a person gets, the attitude and thoughts in which they view life, and emotional health.
In order to be healthy we have to look at the whole picture. It’s not just about eating well, or exercising well, or sleeping well, etc., it’s about all of those things together. When you leave out one piece you are missing a piece to the puzzle.
When I work with clients, I want to make sure they understand, that they are different from others, and their journey will look different than someone else’s. I also start with one area and focus on that before moving on. One must create new habits in each area so that those new habits stick and then they can add new healthy habits. Living a healthy life is a journey, not an overnight thing.
I am passionate about helping people to understand the importance of being healthy. I want to help them feel better so that they can enjoy life and not be bogged down by feeling poorly.
If you or someone you know struggles with poor health or just wants to make changes, I would love to work with you.
One of my favorite quotes is this, “If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for illness.”
