It’s almost the new year and it’s hard to believe another year has passed. Do you ever feel like you get caught up in so many things, that you have no idea where the time has gone? I know I do. It’s easy to fill the schedule, leaving no space for rest or reflection.
As we are ending the year 2019, I encourage you to take time to PAUSE and REFLECT. Find some time in the next few days before the new year gets here. Schedule into your day. Make it a priority. Take an hour or two, to just be still. Pausing requires effort, and pausing or being still is not a sign of laziness. I feel like our society tells us that if we are not always moving and doing things, then we are being lazy. That is absolutely not the case. It actually takes discipline to be still. It is especially hard in our society to rest. SO THIS WEEK, MAKE PAUSING AND REFLECTING A PRIORITY.
As you REFLECT sometime in the next few days, here are a few things to think about.
**What are your goals?
**What was good for you this year?
**What was hard or sad for you this year?
**In what ways can I be intentional this year?
**What relationships did I build meaningful connections in and how can I build more in 2020?
**What are my passions?
**What has my health looked like in 2019 and how can I improve it in 2020?
**How can I make changes in my nutrition?
**How can I schedule more movement (exercise) into my day?
**How can I schedule daily rest?
**What is 1 thing I really need to work on in 2020?
**How can I encourage those around me?
I’m so excited to PAUSE and REFLECT and get ready to ring in 2020. Each day is a gift and I don’t want to waste a minute of what God has given me. I want to be strong and healthy. I want to share with others how to be healthy. I want to see others make the changes necessary to live a life of health and happiness. I want to share your journey’s to making positive changes in the coming year. Make it a priority to PAUSE and REFLECT. What changes will you make?
In health,
Erika
