HAPPY NEW YEAR!  As the new year is starting, I know we are all thinking of our resolutions and how we can make changes and help ourselves to be better.  So many people make resolutions to eat better and exercise or exercise more, but end up falling off the wagon a month or so into the process.

I want to encourage you today to not lose heart.  You can do this.  I wanted to give you a few tips on how to start the new year off in a way that sets you up for success.  FIRST: Set goals.  What do you want to accomplish?  Set 2 or 3 goals so that you have only a few things to focus on. SECOND: Be realistic.  THIRD: Make exercise easy.  If getting a gym membership is to costly or you know you won’t get there, find ways at home to get in a workout.  You can use bands, free weights, and your own body weight.  Look up some good you tube videos with good HIIT(high intensity interval training) workouts for cardio. I have included a couple workout videos below to get you started.

FOURTH: Meal Plan.  Make your meals simple.  Don’t overthink it.  Repeat meals on a monthly meal plan rotation.  FIFTH:  Find what works for you in each area that you are wanting to improve.  Remember, if you are making things too hard, you won’t do them.  The goal is to simplify so that you can accomplish your goals.  LAST: Accountability.  Find someone to help you be accountable.
