Essential oils for sick season

I’m a big advocate for essential oils. We have so many things that are natural that we can use to help our bodies heal. I believe God has given us natural things from plants that provide healing if we are willing to use them and allow them to have time to work.

These pictures are my favorite for the sick season. Lavender, eucalyptus, onguard, purify, and breathe. These are helpful in fighting colds and flus.

You might wonder, “How do I use these oils?” You can apply them topically, use them in a diffuser, and some are even ok to ingest. You always want to dilute oils with a carrier oil when applying them topically.

These oils are good for different ailments.

Lavender helps with relaxation and is good to help with anxiety, bruises, burns, cuts, scrapes, bug bites, stress, poison ivy, eczema, and more.

Onguard is a blend of several oils and is good for colds, flu, fungal infections, pneumonia, sore throat, viral infections, and more.

Breathe is a blend of several oils and is helpful for allergies, asthma, congestion, cough, emphysema, flu, mucous, pneumonia, and sinus infection.

Eucalyptus smells amazing and is helpful for allergies, cough, cold, congestion, emphysema, flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc.

Purify has a very fresh and clean smell. It’s great for odor control and protecting against environmental threats. I put a drop or two in my laundry to give them a fresh smell and kill germs. I diffuse it in my house during flu season as well.

Essential oils have become a part of my natural medicine cabinet over the last several years. I recommend keeping some of these oils on hand to help prevent sickness and help in healing of you become sick.

I have also incorporated essential oils into my cleaning products. I make some of my own cleaning sprays that smell amazing and clean and disinfect.

I hope you can find ways to add essential oils into your daily life.
